Eagles of Death Metal tworzą Josh Homme (frontman Queens Of the Stone Age i A Perfect Circle) i enigmatyczny lider Jessie "Devil" Hughes. Panowie z niezwykłą lekkością tworzą porywające, imprezowe kawałki, które po prostu nie mają prawa zawieść słuchaczy. "Death By Sexy" to ich najnowsza płyta pełna chwytliwych, skocznych i wręcz "zaraźliwych" utworów, takich jak, między innymi, "Cherry Cola" czy "I Want You So Hard". Słychać tu też fragmenty country ("Solid Gold" i "Chase The Devil"), a także klimatyczne gęste utwory ("I Like To Move In The Night"). Jak przyznaje Josh: "Ta płyta brzmi tak, jak Bóg wyobraża sobie rock 'n' roll". Jest w tej muzyce coś z garażowego brzmienia dwóch nastolatków spełniających swoją rock'n'rollową fantazję, dziwne poczucie humoru i zabawy, a to sprawia, że chociaż trudno jest traktować "Death By Sexy" poważnie, to jednak nie da się nie cieszyć tą płytą.
