Polybius is a retro arcade title with a psychedelic mix, as you'll drive through a tunnel in a vehicle continuously advancing as you shoot down any obstacles on your path. How far, and how many points, can you rack up?
Flatscreen or Immersive VR
Play Polybius in flatscreen mode or jump into the VR environment and experience the world in a brand-new setting! By playing in VR, you'll enjoy the game in a more in-depth 3D environment — a completely different experience!
How Fast Will You Go?
Scattered throughout the level are speed boosts you can use to raise your driving speed and increase the number of points you get. But be wary, as the faster you go, the more at risk you are to hit something and get a game over! How quickly will you dare to go?
Numerous Powerups
Pick up power pills during your run to get a slew of bonuses! Each pill has a different effect that'll affect your game, allowing you to prolong your experience and reach higher points. Become invincible, get a drastic boost forward, or slow time down to get through a tricky part!
Never Repeat the Same Section
Polybius doesn't restart at any checkpoint throughout your adventure; there are no bosses gating content nor skill hurdles you must overcome. After you've passed a particular section, you can rest assured you won't go through it again — not even after losing a life. Every life you lose is progress made, no matter how fast or how slowly that occurred!
Arcade Game Modes
Play throughout the normal run, as you'll work your way to the end, or experience two game modes that ramp up the difficulty and give a challenge to those looking for one! Play in the Pure version to start from the beginning and see how far you can go or boot up the Endurance mode, start from the beginning with a fixed number of lives and no extras to be acquired, and test your skill!
Restart Best
Use the Restart Best system implemented into Polybius to restart any level you've passed with the highest score and the lives you've had, allowing you to perfect each run and see how high your score can go! Get better and better scores as you learn the levels and grow your skill!
Based on an Urban Legend
Polybius is based on an Urban legend about a game that was so addictive that it caused negative side effects to those that were separated from it. Built with VR to replicate a feeling of enjoyment and fulfilment, Polybius is only meant to bring the fun part of the Urban legend without the unpleasant adverse side effects of addiction!
