Pattern Explorer Beginning

Patterns can play a pivotal role in math and science, and that moment when patterns are recognized or structure understood can often lead to breakthroughs. This book will help children explore patterns, sensitizing them to the discovery process that will build a foundation for learning and abstraction. Pattern Explorer patterns are divided into five themes: Pattern Predictor, Equality Explorer, Sequence Sleuth, Number Ninja, and Function Finder; they appear in rotating order for a total of 40 activity sets (8 per theme). Activities are independent and self-contained, though they do progress to a more sophisticated level of work. Hints and comprehensive solutions are provided in separate sections. Level: Beginning.
