Johann Ruttloff od 2010 roku w Dreźnie produkuje w swojej małej manufakturze spodnie i koszule z wysokiej jakości, dżinsowego materiału prosto z Japonii. Japoński selvage denim jest niesamowicie trwały, łączy przy tym w sobie tradycyjną, ekologiczną produkcję z dbałością o szczegóły, które sprawiają, że produkty są trwałe. Buty mają cholewkę wykonaną z japońskiego dżinsu, zamszu i wytłaczanej skóry bydlęcej, a całość osadzono na wygodnej podeszwie z pianki EVA i gumy.

Japanese denim is characterized by exceptional high quality and combines a traditional, more ecological method of production, which guarantees special durability. This culture, and precisely this claim, is also lived in the Schuhmanufaktur Hummel&Hummel and has the consequence that no mass-produced goods, but strictly limited quantities are produced.

This creates aesthetic products with a history and tangible culture, the opposite of the prevailing fast-fashion orientation. And that's what our joint denim project with Johann Ruttloff is all about: creating awareness that the era of manufacturing pure disposable goods must not have a future.

The material used on our collabo is a "10.1 OZ natural indigo dyed light weight 3/1 denim" from Kuroki (Japan/Okoyama).
