Reason

The definitive re-release of the progressive thrash metal masterpiece! St. Louis, MO cult-metal pioneers Anacrusis return with the definitive reissue of their landmark 1990 sophomore album, Reason. Repackaged for a new generation of metal fans, this reissue restores the band's forward-thinking blend of intricate progressive composition, crushing thrash intensity, and cerebral, thought-provoking lyrical themes. Formed in 1986, Anacrusis (led by the visionary Kenn Nardi) stood out from the late-80s thrash boom by prioritizing atmosphere, shifting time signatures, and deep emotional narratives over generic mosh-pit fodder. Reason is a masterclass in songwriting, effortlessly weaving heavy, razor-sharp riffs with hauntingly melodic, progressive hooks.
