Engineering Mechanics

The scientific branch that deals with the behavior of objects at rest or motion under the influence of forces is referred to as mechanics. Engineering mechanics focuses on the application of the principles of mechanics in order to solve real-time engineering problems. It can be broadly classified into two branches- statics and dynamics. Statics is concerned with the study of objects at rest that may or may not be under the influence of forces. Dynamics is the branch of mechanics which focuses on the study of objects in motion as well as the forces causing such motion.
