The discovery of an unknown land, Karkhan, presented a challenge to many adventure seekers. From the four corners of the world powerful armies started to converge. Each claimed the right to absolute mastery over the new world. However, none of the invaders presumed that Karkhan had long been inhabited by an equally technologically advanced nation. That was how the devastating conflict began, a clash between hundreds of power hungry warriors. Which side you take depends on you, the player. You can either play the part of one of the newcomers and strive to declare yourself "emperor of Karkhan" or become a general of the native army and once and for all repel the invaders, together with their beliefs and customs. Clash is a title that rivals the classics of the genre in scope and quality. Developed by Leryx Longsoft in 1998, Clash is a turn-based strategy game with extraordinary atmosphere centered around colonial conquest, political intrigue, royal diplomacy and the intricacies of life in a king's court. You play as a ruler who must defend his kingdom from enemy invasions. You can choose from over 30 units to use in battle, ranging from standard to more outlandish. As the leader, you must also remember to develop your kingdom's infrastructure, since the war won't finance itself; maintain the happiness of your subjects, since their money directly affects your treasury; take care of your dynasty and engage in diplomacy.
