Nice - Nice

To celebrate it's 60th anniversary, Immediate Records proudly presents the reissue of Nice, the groundbreaking third album by British progressive rock pioneers The Nice-an adventurous blend of prog, symphonic, and psychedelic rock that captures the free spirit of the late '60s.Newly remastered for the best possible audio fidelity, this iconic release is pressed on limited edition translucent red, black marbled, and white splatter vinyl-a visually striking and sonically rich collector's item for longtime fans and new listeners alike.Nice finds the band at the peak of their creativity in a bold half-studio, half-live format that showcases both the precision of their compositions and the raw power of their stage performances. Highlights include Keith Emerson's thrilling adaptation of Brubeck's "Rondo"-recorded live at the Fillmore East-and an explosive reimagining of Bob Dylan's "She Belongs to Me", transformed into a towering progressive rock statement. The album also features studio recordings such as "For Example", a dazzling, genre-spanning journey through jazz, baroque, and rock; the eerie, Rachmaninov-quoting "Azrael Revisited"; and a deeply moving take on Tim Hardin's "Hang On to a Dream", with one of Lee Jackson's most heartfelt vocal performances. With Emerson's virtuosic command of keys, Brian Davison's explosive rhythms, and Jackson's gritty bass and soulful vocals, Nice is a true product of it's time-a far-out, mind-expanding journey through uncharted musical frontiers from one of the original trailblazers of progressive rock
