Szarlotkę wynalazł w XIX wieku Marie-Antoine Carême, słynny cukiernik, autor dzieła „Kucharz paryski”, będącego wykładnią ówczesnej kuchni francuskiej. Carême ze względu na swoje umiejętności gotował u Rothschildów, a także u cara Rosji Aleksandra I i tam właśnie powstało słynne na cały świat ciasto. Charlotte was invented in the nineteenth century Marie-Antoine Carême, a famous confectioner, author of the "Parisian cook", which is an interpretation of the then French cuisine. Because of his skills, Carême cooked at the Rothschilds, as well as at the Tsar of Russia Alexander I, and it was there that the world-famous cake was created. The name "Charlotte russe" derives from the name of the duchess, sister-in-law of Alexander I, a later Tsarina. In our chocolate, the taste of traditional apple pie is found thanks to the addition of apples, vanilla and cinnamon.
