American Assassin

This tense action-thriller takes place in the shadowy world of international spies. Mitch Rapp (Dylan O'Brien) is a new recruit to the world of clandestine intelligence, and Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton) is the Cold War veteran tasked with showing him the ropes. Both have personal as well as professional reasons to hate terrorists. The pair is investigating a series of attacks on military and civilian targets. The trail leads to a secretive criminal mastermind with a catastrophic plan that must be stopped at all costs. With dire consequences impending, the pair enlists the help of a Turkish agent and sets out to stop a nuclear disaster. With its brutal action, thoughtful characters, and solid acting, American Assassin is a cut above most action movies.
