Anthem

Newly remastered release of Toyah’s 1981 Gold-selling album Anthem. Produced by Nick Tauber, with arrangements by the band and Toyah, the album features a line-up that saw Willcox and Joel Bogen joined by Nigel Glockler, Phil Spalding, and Adrian Lee. Anthem was a big commercial success, reaching number two in the UK Top 40 album chart in May 1981. It spent 46 weeks on the album chart and was awarded a Gold album sales certification. The album followed two Top Ten hit singles, ‘It’s A Mystery’ (#4) and ‘I Want To Be Free’ (#8) both of which feature. The album also includes the anthemic ‘We Are’ and the atmospheric ‘Jungles Of Jupiter’, both classics that have remained in Toyah’s live set to this today. 2CD/DVD - With a brand-new introduction by Toyah Willcox in the 24-page booklet which contains stunning classic and rare images plus previously unseen out-takes
